Mexican Rice Pudding

Get ready to indulge in a sweet, comforting bowl of Mexican Rice Pudding! This classic dessert is made with creamy condensed milk and infused with warm cinnamon spice. It’s the perfect way to end any meal or enjoy as a midday snack.


1 cup of white rice
2 cups of water
1 can of sweetened condensed milk
2 cups of milk
1 cinnamon stick
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
Ground cinnamon for garnish


Rinse the rice with cold water and drain.
Add the rice, water, and cinnamon stick to a medium pot and bring to a boil.
Reduce the heat to low, cover the pot, and let the rice cook for about 18-20 minutes or until fully cooked.
Once the rice is cooked, add the condensed milk, milk, and vanilla extract to the pot.
Stir well and bring to a simmer over medium heat.
Cook for about 20-25 minutes or until the pudding has thickened to your desired consistency.
Remove the cinnamon stick and let the pudding cool for a few minutes.

Serve warm or cold, garnished with a sprinkle of ground cinnamon.
